My 2020 in Review

My Accomplishments in 2020

As year 2020 draws to a close, I’m looking back at my accomplishments in the past year. Highlights include open-source projects, TensorFlow Lite, computer vision, deep learning and Art.

Awards & Recognition

I was featured by @TensorFlow in a Google Developers blog — Celebrating International Women’s Day with 20 tech trailblazers.

I was very honored to be featured on main page, along with 2 other ML GDEs. Got nominated by Khanh LeViet from the TensorFlow Lite team for the Google Open Source Peer Bonus Award because of my contribution to TensorFlow. And recently I was featured in the latest ML GDE community newsletter.

Online Art Gallery

For the past year, I have been studying and practicing art daily. I create an online art gallery to showcase my artwork of traditional, digital and AI art. I wrote about My Journey of Becoming an Artist on Medium.

Open Source Projects

This past year I have collaborated with ML GDEs and the TensorFlow Lite community on quite a few projects.

Awesome TensorFlow Lite

I created the Awesome TensorFlow Lite repo on GitHub:

I wrote a two-part blog post Icon Classifier with Model Maker, and ML Model Binding. The Startup, the largest publication on Medium, reached out to me with interest to publish my blog post with them.

Co-present at TensorFlow Lite Training for ML GDEs

Was invited to co-present with Khanh LeViet at two sessions of TensorFlow Lite training to the machine learning GDEs (Google Developer Expert).

Image Background Stylizer project

Project in collaboration with Sayak Paul (India), George Soloupis (Greece) and Patrick Haralabidis (Australia).

Cartoonizer project

Project in collaboration with Sayak Paul.

Selfie2Anime project

Project in collaboration with Sayak Paul.

MET Art Data Analysis and Visualization

I published a blog post on Towards Data Science for the first time!

This year all events were virtual. Here a few events that I have organized:

Book reviews

I provided technical review for these books:

Online courses

I released a video course on Android ML with TensorFlow Lite and tf.Keras.

I also published Hands on Transfer Learning with TensorFlow 2.0 video course on Packt.

I have completed the GANs (Generative Adversarial Networks) Specialization by Coursera. I have also worked on a few other certificates to be completed by early 2021.

I’m looking forward to new adventures, projects and learnings in 2021!
