Google cloud Next 2025 was such a great experience to learn the latest Google Cloud announcements and network with the developer community! In addition. I gave a lighting talk and recorded a YouTube shorts for the official Google Cloud Tech channel during the conference.
Google + Sphere
The night before Cloud Next, we got a special invite to visit the Sphere where we learned about the AI magic behind Sphere’s upcoming ‘The Wizard of Oz’ experience. We got a sneak preview of what the AI enhanced film looks like at the Sphere, and the behind-the-scene stories.
It’s a collaboration by thousands of researchers, engineers, VFX artists, archivists and producers at Google DeepMind, Google Cloud, Sphere Studios, Magnopus, and Warner Bros. Google’s models Imagen, Veo, and Gemini, are being used to enhance the original 1939 film for Sphere’s massive 16K LED screen. They used “super resolution” to upscale, outpainting to fill gaps, and performance generation to integrate performances into expanded scenes. “The Wizard of Oz at Sphere” is scheduled to debut on August 28th.
